Butts ~ Clayton ~ Gwinnett ~ Henry
Newton ~ Rockdale ~ Walton
Early days in seven central Georgia counties, east and southeast of Atlanta, are recalled thru a mix of colorful tales & factual data in this
NEW 29 Page Spiral-bound Booklet
reprinted from the Rev. George White's Historical Collections of Georgia, and another hard-to find book: Georgia, a Guide to Its Towns and Countryside, a WPA publication. The booklet is printed one-sided on 60# paper with the print enlarged for easier reading. A vinyl sheet has been added to protect the three-color front cover.
Only five of the counties were included in White's 1854 book: Butts, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton and Walton, since the other two didn't exist at that time. Clayton was formed in 1858 from Fayette and Henry counties; Rockdale, in 1870 from Henry and Newton counties.
