the communities of Tiffin, Fostoria, Green Springs, Attica, New Riegel,
Republic, Ft. Seneca, Bloomville, Bettsville and Adrian, are recalled through
a mixture of colorful tales and factual data in this NEW 28 Page Booklet reprinted
from the 1892 Centennial edition of Henry Howe's Historical Collections
of Ohio, The Ohio Guide (a WPA Writers Project), and other hard-to-find
sources. The spiral-bound booklet is one-sided on 60# paper with the fine
print enlarged for easier reading.

suitable for framing. These include an 1846 sketch of Tiffin, an 1886 photo
of Tiffin, and an early photo of Fostoria.

The Howe history covers the development of this
area until about 1890, while excerpts from the WPA book, give a nostalgic
glimpse from a 1940 vantage point, including interesting historical notes,
especially as they relate to sightseeing possibilities. A 1933 look at the
history of newspapers in Seneca County, brief sketches on Gov. Edwin Tiffin
and Heidelberg College and maps showing the 88 Ohio counties and 1805 Ohio
are also included.
