Early days in Buffalo County, WI, are recalled through a mixture of local history and biographies of prominent residents in this meaty little booklet . The original source is a rare 1881 book, entitled History of Northern Wisconsin. The booklet is printed single sided on 60 pound 8 1/2" x 11" opaque paper. The front cover is a parchtex card stock, protected with a vinyl sheet. We've included an enlarged segment of a map from the original book that includes Buffalo County, and two other maps of historic interest.

Communities currently listed for this area by the National Association of Counties include: Alma (County Seat), Belvidere, Buffalo, Canton, Cochrane, Cross, Dover, Fountain City, Gilmanton, Glencoe, Lincoln, Maxville, Milton, Modena, Mondovi, Montana, Naples, Nelson and Waumandee. (Some towns may not be mentioned in the booklet.)
