OHIO is made up of 88 counties, each of which has its own story to tell. Twice in the 19th century Henry Howe, a master story teller, historian and artist, gathered information, sketches and photographs and produced a legacy titled Historical Collections of Ohio. Our booklets are reprinted from the 1892 Centennial edition of Henry Howe's Historical Collections of Ohio, and The Ohio Guide, (written by the WPA) and other hard-to-find sources. Many of the booklets include information from other sources which are listed on the individual descriptions. |

The spiral-bound booklets are printed on 60# paper with the print enlarged for easier reading. A sheet of clear vinyl protects the front cover. Pictured on either side is a scan of the cover of a booklet and an inside page to show what one may expect. If you know what county interests you find it below for a description of the booklet. Alternatively you may use the search function to locate a city, town or even a name*. |
